The GOATs Youth Panel: Empowering Our Community
The GOATs youth panel is on a mission, and we’re excited to share our journey with you!Thanks to the generous support of the Cynnal y Cardi UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we’ve been given the opportunity to run an incredible programme that engages young people in our community through fun, creative, and impactful activities.
Our mission is clear: to deliver a range of engaging activities that not only entertain but also empower young people to express themselves and connect with one another. We believe that fostering a sense of belonging and creativity is essential for the growth and development of our youth.
Our Youth Panel
We’re proud to announce that we’ve successfully recruited 27 enthusiastic young people to sit on our youth panel. This diverse group meets weekly to discuss ideas, plan events, and carry out consultations within our communities. Together, we listen to the voices of our peers and work to address their needs and interests.Creating Our Ethos
One of our first steps was to create an ethos for our panel. This ethos serves as our guiding principle and reflects our commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and respect. It inspires us to create a safe space where every young person feels valued and heard.Through the development of this ethos, we aim to:
- Encourage open communication: We want to ensure that all members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas.
- Foster collaboration: By working together, we can create events and activities that truly resonate with our community.
