About us.
As a dedicated Youth Panel, we are passionate about shaping a brighter future for ourselves
and our communities. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to plan, produce, and facilitate a
range of events that are entirely youth-led, with a strong focus on our wellbeing and the
benefits we can bring to our local areas.
We believe that young people possess incredible potential and creativity that deserves to be
recognised and celebrated. By taking the reins in planning and executing our events, we not
only showcase our talents but also challenge the negative misconceptions that often
surround youth today. Our events are a testament to the fact that we are not just the leaders
of tomorrow; we are the innovators of today.
Promoting inclusivity and accessibility is at the heart of our mission.
We understand that not
every young person has equal access to opportunities, especially those in poorly connected
and rural areas. That’s why outreach is a top priority for us. We are committed to ensuring
that our events provide a safe, fun, and inclusive atmosphere where every young person
feels welcome and valued.
We recognise that financial constraints can prevent many of us from participating in
enriching experiences. To address this, we will leverage our designated funding to ensure
that all our events are affordable. By breaking down these financial barriers, we aim to
create opportunities that are accessible to every young person, regardless of their situation.
Our events will serve as supportive spaces for socialising and connecting with our peers,
allowing friendships to flourish and communities to strengthen. We believe in the
transformative power of creativity and the arts, and we are excited to weave these elements
into our projects. By focusing on artistic expression, we highlight the many benefits of
engaging with the arts, from improving mental health to fostering teamwork and
collaboration.
