Kids Creative Writing – Arts Award Programme

Inspire. Create. Achieve.

This creative writing programme helps children develop their writing skills, build confidence, and work towards achieving a Bronze Arts Award.

Participants will learn the foundations of creative writing, build a portfolio of work, find their unique voice, and collaborate with other young writers in a traditional writers’ room setting.

At the end of the course, students will present their work and receive a nationally recognised Bronze Arts Award certificate.


What Students Will Learn

Our structured modules include:

  • Story arc and structure

  • Character development

  • Writing place and setting

  • Research skills

  • Workshopping and peer feedback

  • Critical commentary

  • Spoken word performance event

  • Portfolio building

  • Certificate celebration ceremony


Important Information
  • £15 per week
  • Booking essential – limited spaces available.
  • There is no minimum age; however, children must be able to write independently to take part.

  • If your child requires a computer, one can be provided during sessions.

  • To book fill in the enrolment form here
  • A one-off £35 fee is payable at the end of the course to cover the cost of the Bronze Arts Award certificate.
